ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE

Established in 1903, the Minnesota Orchestra is a Grammy Award-winning orchestra known for acclaimed performances in our home state and around the world, a storied history of recordings and radio broadcasts, and innovative educational engagement programs.

We perform a wide variety of music including nearly 175 concerts in a typical year, primarily at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis, our home since 1974. We also tour regularly throughout Minnesota, nationally and abroad.

Described by the New Yorker as “the greatest orchestra in the world,” the Minnesota Orchestra features nearly 100 of the world’s most accomplished instrumentalists.
